Fly to US from India at 13K with this Icelandic Airline

Travelling to the United States has been a dream for many people in India. However the expensive flight fares that exceed the 60,000 INR mark has kept their dreams away. However your dreams might be a possible after all, with a super low fare fare, at almost half of the cost of other airlines. India US cheap flight tickets can be a reality after all. The last few weeks, the name kept popping out in several travel discussions and blogs and I was curious to understand their strategies, routes and pricing options. A paper article about Wow Air entering India caught my eye and I quickly went online to browse the same . To my surprise, the airline has already created a .in domain (www.wowair.in) and planning to start operations from the month of Jan 2019.

Wow Air , as an inaugural offer, has priced all their flights from New Delhi (India) to US, UK, Canada and of course their base Reykjavik , Iceland at just 13,499 one way. This translates to just 200$ .  This is inclusive of all taxes as well. This  fare is a Promo Basic fare and doesnt include Luggage (Both Hand luggage or check in luggage) or food.

They have 4 variants in tickets including Wow basic (One 10kg bag), Wow Plus (One 20KG Bag, one 10Kg and additional hand bag) plus a reserved seat, Wow Comfy ( basically a Wow Plus + extra legroom seat and cancellation included) and Wow premium ( All of them, including a meal and no change fee).

However, they have added these as add-ons and very much be bought in the next pages including Hand Luggage, Check-In Luggage, Food at a cost. These are introductory offers and you might want to book it at the earliest to grab the 13K fare before it gets sold out.

Note : These fares are non-refundable . So in case if you are denied a visa, you lose the entire ticket amount . So be sure of your plans before booking the low fares. However you have an option to add a 2000Rs clause to get refund for a valid reason like accident or illness).

Food options for vegetarian included some sandwiches, pizza and a few other short eats.

The baggage options on a One-Stop flight cost roughly 4700 one-way for a 20KG baggage.

About Wow Air

WowAir is an Icelandic airline, based out of Reykjavik and flies to US, London (UK) , Europe , Canada and now to India.  In India, New Delhi is the only operating base for now , though no future plans have been revealed by the airline so far.

On an additional note, a trip to see the Northern Lights at Iceland just got a whole lot better by Wow Air at a 30K return fare (given its around 65K minimum in any airline to Iceland from India).
